Please pray for my dear friend Sarah...
My friend Sarah has been struggling with symptoms of the Creutzfeldt-Jakobs disease for 2 years now, though they can't know for sure that that is what she has (you can't know for sure until the patient dies, then you can do braind biopsy - and there is no known cure for it even if you could know for sure), she has all the right symptoms. The Creutzfeldt-Jakobs disease is a fatal brain disease that usually kills you anywhere from 7 months to 2 years.
Sarah has a doctors appointment this week, and she would truly appreciate you keeping her, her family and the doctor in your prayers. Sarah has meant so much to me in my life and she is a beautiful example to me. And she is such a wonderful friend! Though she has said that it can be very frustrating when her mustle tone goes down and she can't do anything, I have never heard her complain, and she is always in such a joyful mood! She's a member of our church (that's how I know her), but because of her illness has had to attend a different church for the past couple months, and she is so patient about it! So please, please pray for her - that she might have a peace in her heart 'that surpasses all understanding' and also, pray that the doctor might have wisdom.

Guess what? Sarah had her appointment at the docters and he said that he does not think that that is what she has! Both the fact that she is still alive as well as the fact that pigs or anything to do with them make the symptoms worse, it is unlikely that that is what she has! I was so excited when she told me! I know that death is not something to be feared of or something to flee from as a christian, but we still miss people when they fall asleep in Jesus. And I am so thankful that they don't think that that is what Sarah has!
