"The Daniels story is a bit long and complicated, but I will make it as clear short as possible.
The Daniels have been attending our church since April 08. They had four little boys when we met them, the two oldest they adopted from Ethiopia and the two youngest were their natural children. They are a very sweet home schooling Christian family.last May they had another little boy, Isaac, to bring their number up to five.
Some time last July a rather sad accident happened that would not have mounted to much if it had not been for CPS sticking their noses into it. Kristen (Mrs. Daniels) had been very ill for over a week and was just recovering she needed to run to the grocery store to pick up items, so she dropped the four oldest boys off at her mother's house (which is right next door to them) and just took Isaac, because she would have to nurse him. She got to the store and parked next to the cart return so she could put Isaacs heavy car seat straight into a cart(which was her habit to do). The cart return was empty however, so she decided to run to the front of the store and grab a cart from there. Anyway, Kristen went to grab a basket at the front of the store and some how and for what ever reason had a mental laps, went into auto pilot, and forgot that Isaac was still asleep in the car. She went into the store and started shopping. It was not until she was picking up some ice cream for the kids that she looked down where Isaac's car seat should have been and realized what had happened. She ran out of the store as fast as she could in near hysterics, fully realizing she could find a dead child when she reached the car. Very, very, thankfully Isaac, though a little over heated was fine. She rushed him back into the store and cooled him down in a bathroom sink and tried to feed him to rehydrate him. Someone in the store meanwhile called 911.
A police officer and an ambulance arrived and they rushed Isaac to the hospital. The hospital declared him fine, and considering how hot it was that day and how little damage was done, they said he had not been left in the car very long. They released him that day and the Daniels went home. That night CPS and a police officer showed up at the Daniels door at 11:30 PM wanting to interview their kids. The children were of course all asleep by that time, so after going through their house they said they would come back on a certain date. That is what started the nightmare.
Over the next couple weeks they had their children interviewed/interrogated, and were threatened with their children being taken away. The police threatened to charge Mrs. Daniels with "Child Neglect" which to be legally charged with that in the state of Texas the "neglect" has to be intentional, whereas all the proof and according to all the witnesses (including the officer that arrived on the scene) they did not believe Kristen meant to leave Isaac in the car. So as far as we know they don't have any case against her, but as we know from the Hannah Overton case, that doesn't seem to matter. Everything became quiet over the last month and a half, we heard nothing from CPS, the Police, or anybody.
We thought and hoped everything had just gone away, but today [Sep. 24], out of nowhere as it would seem, the police showed up at their door, and in front of all their children, arrested and took Mrs. Daniels away."
Kristen is home now, but please be in prayer for the upcoming court case.

"Hello! Our family has been on what we now call a "journey" for the past 5-1/2 years. My dad hurt his back and then lost his job and didn't work for 3 years, then was in and out of employment. He now works in a place with men that use filthy language all day and where the rules are unfair and the boss is unkind. We have felt the Lord leading our family into a home business for about 3or 4 years now, but have had no guidance on what kind of business to have. Now we feel that He may have given us a vision for a home business. I would just like prayer for our family in that we would listen and hear what the Lord is trying to show us that He wants us to do. Also for patience as we want to move quickly in this, but that may not be God's will. :) Pray that He will help us and guide us to this business and what to do etc. It's hard to wait for God's timing in this area when we have been waiting so long already. Pray that we would have family unity and be able to work together in this and become closer to each other in this. Thank you all so much! God Bless!~Miss Rachel~"

If you can all pray for me that I would be a blessing to others, with a servants heart and the fruit of the spirit shining from me, I would greatly appreciate it. This is my heart, but I can't do things alone - it's by the grace and help of God that I can conquer these things.
The Lord Bless and Keep You~

As we enter a new week, are there any praise reports or prayer requests that we can lift you up in?

Be praying for our country, and for President Obama...it's pretty obvious that he's trying to lead us down to ruins. The good news: God can change and soften even President Obama's heart!! We need to be on our hands and knees praying that God would speak to him, and change his ways...that if it's HIS will, our country will be strengthened into a God-fearing, God-honoring nation!

I ask that you pray for my teenage sister. She has some special learning needs, which makes it hard to communicate effectivly. Please pray that God will get ahold of my sisters heart and point her in HIS direction...I long for her to accept this eternal gift.
Pray that the Lord gives all of us patience and love while we work through this journey together.

I have a neuromuscular disease called Myasthenia Gravis. I have had this since Hunter was born (12 yrs) It affects my breathing, swallowing, walking, arm strenght etc. I am in pain every single day. It is a progress disease meaning it progresses as the years go by. I have had several treatments of plasmapheresis and IVIG. My last treatment of plasmapheresis almost killed me and I lost my sight. Thankfully I regained it 24 hours later. I have progressed some more, but the doctor doesn't not want to do a treatment due to the affects of last time. So, he doubled my chemo drug (immunosuppressive) to help this. I also have started an experiemental supplement called Moducare to see if it will help modulate my immune system which is what the IVIG does. My prayer is that my pain will be less and that the supplement and doubling dose of the chemo drug will slow the progression down and I will start to feel stronger. My praise is that I have learned perseverence and patience, loving life simply, enjoying every beautiful sight, and also the correct motive to obedience. Thank you for your prayers...

This morning I was asked to pray for a couple, who recently filed for divorce. Divorce is an ugly thing, and it has been really tough on the immediate and extended family. They are separated right now, even though the divorce isn't final.
Also pray for the two daughters, ages 16 and 11...they are having to watch their mom and dad go through this, and they love them both, it's got to be heartbreaking. Now they can't live as a family, something that they would have never dreamed about.
Please, lift this broken, hurting family up in prayer! Maybe God will soften their hearts and help them to work through the difficulties~

My Aunt Kathryn was due with her first on Wednesday, the 9th. Well, she went to the hospital in labor at like 3:30 am on Monday. By yesterday night, she still hadn't had her baby. At 12:30 am yesterday night, we were told that she was having an emergency c-section. At 2:30 am this morning (Tues. the 8th), we heard that both Aunt Kathryn and my new baby boy cousin are fine. That is great news - Praise the Lord! But right now my Aunt Kathryn is extremely sore and overwhelmingly exhausted. It has been about 13 hours since the baby was born, but she still hasn't gotten out of bed, and is feeling really sore. My Uncle Robert is also exhausted and asked us to pray for her. She doesn't even want visitors until tomorrow, and she has to stay in the hospital until at least Friday, maybe longer. Would you please join me in praying for her, that she will recover quickly, not be in to much pain, and get the rest she needs? Thank you for praying - Aunt Kathryn will really appreciate it!! By the way, the healthy baby boy was born at 8 lbs, 7 oz. :), and doesn't have a name yet... :)

Update on RidgeRunner's Dad from August 27 2009
Dad was told by the neurosurgeon this week that in order to remove the tumor they'd have to remove part of his skull in the forhead area and some of the front lobe of his brain, get the tumor out, and then put the pieces back together. They said it would be a highly risky lengthy surgery and that since his life expectancy with his heart condition is only 3-10 years, it wouldn't be worth the effort to treat the tumor.
I'm hoping that God will use this to open Dad's heart to less damaging/traumatizing means of treatment. BUT - what on earth makes this doctor think that he has the right to tell my father that his life is not worth the effort just because he's got other health problems?? *sigh* Needless to say, Dad is now battling depression worse than ever. He asked Mom to remove all the guns from the house. Suicidal tendencies run in my Dad's family... his brother, Grandpa, serveral cousins, etc. have all committed suicide through various means. Dad admitting that it's on his mind by asking Mom to get rid of the guns is a big deal, because he normally NEVER would admit to such a weakness. Please keep holding him up to the Lord.
