This update is from Kevin's blog...keep praying.

Ok. The baby was born @ 29 weeks by emergency c-section two nights ago on August 29. He is 2.6 pounds and 14.5 inches long. There are many complications that can occur when the baby is born so young. One of the main concerns that the doctors have had was that, without amniotic fluid, there was a possibility that the lungs would not develop properly, and they would not be able to complete the respiration process. The first problems they noticed were that his lungs were underdeveloped for his age, and he had a low red blood cell count. He was given oxygen immediately, as well as a blood transfusion. Thankfully, he has been improving since then.

So today when we arrived at the hospital, the doctors had found that he has some bleeding on the brain. This could result in a number of things, including mental and/or physical disabilities. We're hoping and praying that God will intervene and heal him of this problem.I want to thank everyone who has been praying this whole time, and to ask you to continue praying.

Also I want to thank the people who have posted prayer requests on their blog regarding my mom and the baby.Oh, wait...did I forget to mention his name? Oops :P His name is Justin Nicholas Wegner :D

We would like prayer for Our family as we have been having financial struggles off and on, again and again over the years, including this year. Our dad works at a VERY low paying job right now and the men he works with speak filthy language and berate him all day long for his faith. Yet Our dad has had the opportunity to talk to most of them about their faith and everyone on the job, including the owner, knows he is a Christian. Each day is a struggle for him to stand for his faith so please pray for him that he would be a strong testimony of Christ in the workplace and that the men will come to know Christ and have a changed life. One of the men has a sister who became a Christian a few years ago and comes to our church. We have been able to minister to her and befriend her some...and their mom lives just down the block so God may want us to help this family, so please pray for that as well! We really would like for him to have a new and better job (preferably a home business of some kind), but until then, He seems to want us to help this family and be a witness and testimony at this job of my dad's. Also pray for us as a family in encouraging dad and dealing with the lack of finances, as this sometimes puts a strain on our family. We are learning so much from this time in our lives, and we know that God has a plan for us and is watching out for us! :) Thank you for your prayers!

"Please pray that I would want and pursue Christ. That I would love Him and fear Him. Because I don't really have that much concern about this matter ,I don't really care, I'm not sure if I mean this or not. But please pray!! "

"I just found out that my Dad has a tumor on the inner lining of his brain. It's two centimeters which is considered a 'giant tumor'. The doctors said that it's very rare for a tumor in this position to get over 1 centimeter and Dad's is already double that. The doc said that if it gets any bigger it will block the flow of spinal fluid to the brain which could result in paralysis and/or loss of brain function.

My Dad's only 47. The docs think that the large size and sudden appearance of this tumor may be related to his implanted defibrillator malfunctioning awhile back and shocking him over 30 times... 360 joules of electricity in each shock applied directly to the heart and exiting through the head. They can't find another case where anyone lived through that to compare Dad with, and ever since that happened things like this started popping up."

Pray for this family; they need our prayers.

Be praying for Mrs. Wegner and their baby, who is still in the womb. She is 25 weeks along, and very low on amniotic fluid. Mrs. Wegner was admitted into the hospital on August 15 and between now and 35 weeks, she'll have the baby.

Keep their whole family in your prayers!

Thank You All for praying! My Dad went to the ER late last night...or should I say this morning? He came home with the pain of his kidney stone under control and he is feeling better now. Amazing, that something the size of a grain of sand could cause so much pain.

Jenna

p.s. Do you have any prayer requests that we can pray about with you?

Please lift my Dad up in prayer right now. He has a kidney stone and it is giving him a ton of pain...he's throwing up and everything. This is not his first kidney stone, so he knows what is going on but it is still really hard.

Please pray that the Lord will relieve this pain and that he will be able to bear through it.

Thank you so much,
Jenna

Prayer Request #1

Hey Everyone!
Here's the first prayer request...

Time is ticking, and I still haven't found a new home for my lab, Callie. I need to find a place for her before next Friday (August 21) or she has to be put down.

Thank you to the people who have been praying...I know that God has a plan, I just have to wait and find out what it is;) Keep praying!

The Reason of This Blog

God wants us to bring our prayer requests to Him and to lay them at His feet, continuing steadfastly in prayer. As Christians, we have the privilege to come alongside one another and lift each other up in prayer and supplication!

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

"Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer." Romans 12:12

"We will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word." Acts 6:4

Here is an opportunity to let your requests be made known. We can pray with you.
Send your prayer request to my email at
www.onbentknees@gmail.com and I will post it on here...I also request an update on your petition when God answers it in some way.

My desire for this blog, is to encourage other Christians in their walk with Jesus Christ, to pray for others and for CHRIST to be glorified in everything that we say.

How can we pray for you?

Shalom,
Jenna
